Responsible gambling
Matched betting is a maths technique — but it still involves placing real bets with real money at licensed bookmakers. Real bets can trigger real gambling problems. Read this page carefully. Bookmark it. Return to it.

Honest signs that matched betting has stopped being a maths exercise
- You skip the calculator because “you know what to bet”.
- You place a back without laying because “the favourite always wins”.
- You deposit more than your planned bankroll.
- You chase a qualifying loss by “letting one ride”.
- You hide your activity from family.
- You feel anxious if you can’t check the bookmaker app.
- You start betting on casino/slots to “clear wagering faster”.
Any one of these is a stop sign. Two or more — please call the helpline.
How MatchedPro is designed to keep you safe
- We never run a bookmaker or hold your funds.
- We only feature SA-licensed bookmakers in our promo marketplace.
- Every promotion requires you to read the terms before unlocking guided mode.
- Every calculator validates inputs (no “guess” bets).
- We display the worst-case outcome alongside the expected profit.
- We do not push casino, virtual or in-play offers.
- We never promise “guaranteed profit” — the maths reduces risk, it does not eliminate it.
Self-exclusion
Every licensed SA bookmaker is required to offer a self-exclusion register. If matched betting starts feeling like gambling, self-exclude from all bookmakers via the National Responsible Gambling Programme. This locks you out across the entire industry, not just one site.
If you are under 18
Leave this site immediately. South African law prohibits anyone under 18 from gambling, including any form of matched betting. You may not register, view promotional content, or use any calculator on this platform.
Set a limit before you start
Decide your matched-betting bankroll before you deposit anything. Write it down. Do not increase it under any circumstance. If you lose the bankroll through mistakes, stop — you are not yet skilled enough to risk more.
